BeoGram, BeoLink and the rest of the Bang & Olufsen catalogue

I restore the full Bang & Olufsen catalogue, including turntables, receivers and tuners. I specialise in three models: the BeoLink 7000, the BeoGram 400X series and the BeoGram 7000 with its 59xx siblings.

Don't see your unit listed? Get in touch and I'll take a look.

Verified with SpinDex

To verify a restored BeoGram 400X, I use SpinDex, an RPM logger I designed and built for the BeoGram 4000 series. It sits on the platter and records the speed for hours, so drift and warm-up problems show up in the log.

SpinDex is open source under the Apache 2.0 license. The firmware, the web app, the 3D printable enclosure and the carrier board design are all on GitHub, so you can build one for your own BeoGram. The web app runs in Chrome or Edge at spindex.leicht.io with nothing to install, and contributions are welcome.

  • An IR sensor measures platter rotation and streams the RPM over Bluetooth.
  • Live graph of current, average and max RPM with % deviation from 33⅓ / 45.
  • Runs for hours unattended, so drift and warm-up issues show up before the unit ships.
  • Every logged session can be exported to CSV.
